I’ve been working on a longform comic called Castle Whatsitsname in one form or another since about 2005. The first installment ran as a webcomic from 2012-2013, but Life got in the way. The older man has since retired in favor of a more diverse cast, but when I first watched Avatar: the Last Airbender around 2016, Uncle Iroh captured his gentle humor and passion for tea more perfectly than I could ever have done.
