One of my friends is basically a gnome in real life, and a really talented fiber artist as well. Why settle for homespun when you can have Gnomespun? I drew the gnomes for him ages ago and as he expanded his repertoire, I updated one of the gnomes with a chisel for woodworking.
I’ve been working on a longform comic called Castle Whatsitsname in one form or another since about 2005. For 24-Hour Comics Day, I wrote and drew a standalone story featuring the CW characters. Ferkus (in the Hawaiian shirt) tricks his friends into a fool’s errand. The Cheshire Wolf (right) isn’t impressed.

I experimented with drawing different kinds of eyes and I have a penchant for creepy. I’m gradually doing one made-up creature for each letter of the alphabet in hopes of doing a coloring book one day. I post each drawing to Facebook with the letter and invite my friends to name it.
I hope the creators of Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts ask me to design mutes for them one day.
