The Passion of Hubert

I am among the luckiest of artists. Not only did my parents encourage and support my creativity without reservation, they occasionally engage me to work on their projects. My mother’s sixth novel tells the story of a lovable everyman confronted with a series of miraculous, inexplicable events. Authors rarely have much say in their novels’ cover design, but when my brother suggested a cover in the style of Terry Gilliam’s brilliant Monty Python animation, we leaped at the idea. You can learn more about Arliss Ryan’s novels and the cover design stories on her website.

Incidentally, if you overdose on caffeine and hold a pencil a few millimeters from the page, you can create a perfect stippled pool patio look.
